All the puppies were great, and it was a hard decision, but the yellow collar girl was the one chosen to bring joy into our lives. Joy had the luck of the Irish at the AKC Scentwork trial today. She qualified in all 4 of her runs, with 4 placements and earned 3 new titles: Scentwork Container Novice (SCN); Scentwork Buried Novice (SBN); and Scentwork Novice (SWN).

Joy ends the year earning her AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title. Along with mastering enough tricks to earn both the Trick Dog Novice (TKN) and Trick Dog Intermediate (TKI).

Joy (and two of her sisters) earned the AKC Junior Hunter (JH) title!

Joy earned her first AKC Scentwork titles: Scentwork Interior Novice (SIN) and Scentwork Exterior Novice (SEN). She found the exterior hide in 19 seconds taking 3rd place in the class.
October 7, 2023
Joy participated in Weimaraner Club of America Ratings tests, earning both her Novice Retrieving Dog (NRD) and Novice Shooting Dog (NSD) titles. This also gave her the Versatility (V) rating with the Weimaraner Club of America.

Joy finished her AKC Bench Championship (CH) at just 14 months old. She went Winners Bitch for her final points and also received an Award of Merit (AOM) over specials at the Delaware Valley Weimaraner Club specialty.

Joy participated in the NAVHDA Natural Ability test where she needed to hunt, trail and swim. She earned a Prize III (NA III).

Joy’s very first AKC point show and she wins a 4-point major!! So thrilling!!

Joy did her first AKC Conformation show in the 4-6 month Beginner Puppy class. She won the breed and a Sporting Group 1 placement!
