I knew I wanted our next Weimaraner to be outside of our current lineage so I could breed her back into our line. I was just beginning to research and this beauty was available. I actually said ‘no’ at first, I was not ready. But after careful consideration, decided to bring her home. She has a lovely temperament and is super sweet. We introduced her to all different activities at a young age, including Nosework. swimming. conformation, field work, etc. She has exceeded our expectations as you can see from her resume below. February 16, 2024. Viva earned her Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU) title. Since Viva frequently visits New York City for photo shoots, we were able to complete the required tasks which include tasks such as walking on busy sidewalks, going in an elevator, and taking an Uber ride.

Viva finished the year earning her AKC Canine Community title (CGCA).

Viva earned her 3 qualifying legs in AKC Rally Excellent within 2 weeks scoring 96, 100 (1st place) and 98 (4th place). She now adds the RE title to her list of accomplishments.
November 5, 2023
Viva earned her final leg for the AKC ScentWork Buried Excellent title (SBE), taking 2nd place by finding 3 hides in 37 seconds. This also gave her the overall ScentWork Excellent title (SWE).

Viva completed her CDSP Companion Dog Excellent title (CDX-C) in her first 3 attempts, with two 1st places and a 2nd place.

After a bit of a hiatus from the field, Viva earned her AKC Junior Hunter (JH) title.

I didn’t think Viva would be able to finish this year, but she was able to run fast enough to earn enough points for her FAST CAT (FCAT) title. The rosettes are as big as the dogs!

Fresh off pupternity leave, Viva came back swinging earning her AKC ScentWork Exterior Excellent (SEE) title with a 1st place finish.

Viva earned her AKC ScentWork Container Excellent (SCE) taking 2nd place with only 3 dogs passing in the whole class. It was a very cold and snowy trial so we took the photo at home.

Viva completed the requirements to earn the new AKC Temperament Test (ATT) which evaluates the dog’s reaction to various stimuli. Her friend, Fiji the PWD, passed the same day.

Viva’s first title of the year was the CDSP Companion Dog (CD-C), which is the Novice Obedience title, taking 1st place! I didn’t realize we had finished the title that day so received the new title ribbon later on.

We started the year not knowing this would be the last Nosework trial for awhile since the world is on hold. Viva earned two more advanced titles: Scentwork Interior Advanced (SIA) and Scentwork Container Advanced (SCA).

The last UKC Nosework trial of the year was super busy for me as the trial secretary and running 3 dogs. Viva earned two new titles: Advanced Containers (AC) in 6.82 seconds earning her 2nd place and Advanced Interior (AI) in 14.78 seconds earning her 4th place. In the second trial she moved up to Superior Containers, earning her first Q in 6.15 seconds, taking 1st place and High In Trial. Unfortunately I had no time to take her picture.

Viva earns her first ‘major’ win (3 points) in the conformation ring under judge Paula Hartinger. She earned the major with Winners Bitch and also went Best of Winners.

Viva competed in her first NACSW Nosework trial. There she needed to successfully complete 4 elements (Containers, Vehicles, Interiors, Exteriors) at the same trial in order to earn the NW1 title. Only 15 out of 45 dogs earned the NW1 title at the trial and Via was one of them. We are so proud of our girl!

Viva finished up her AKC ScentWork Novice title (SWN) by completing her ScentWork Interior Novice (SIN) and ScentWork Exterior Novice (SEN) titles. She found the Interior hide in 8.02 seconds, taking 1st place and the Exterior hide in 14.29 seconds, taking 2nd place in the classes.
